Often to his dismay, Jennifer Walavalkar developed an interest in portraiture by photographing her brother and assorted dolls with a Polaroid camera she received as a childhood gift. Since then, her work in visual media has expanded to include graphic design, but she still enjoys capturing portraits of children and families. Thankfully, accompanying dolls are optional. Jennifer keeps busy with her husband and four young children and her "day job" administrating a Montessori school in Poway.
Jennifer is often accompanied on photo shoots by her mom, Cheryl London, who started taking photography more seriously upon arrival of her grandchildren. Cheryl photographs a broad spectrum of subjects and is known for her unique perspective (on both life and still life). She spends her days running the office at the family school. You can see more of their work in the Portfolio Galleries.
